It was developed by the Sopwith Aviation Company and became one of the best known aircraft of the First World War. It was powered by a single rotary engine and was armed with twin Vickers machine guns. It was highly maneuverable in the hands of an experienced pilot, an important characteristic in the relatively low-speed, low-altitude dogfights of that war.

No glue or batteries required.
